Volleyball Game Preview: King Philip Regional Warriors vs. Attleboro Bombardiers

After both having extra time off, the King Philip Regional Warriors and the Attleboro Bombardiers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. King Philip Regional has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 14.

King Philip Regional managed to slip by Dighton-Rehoboth Regional the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Falcons on Saturday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered against the Falcons since April 6, 2022.

While King Philip Regional was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Dighton-Rehoboth Regional's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-20, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Attleboro didn't have quite enough to beat Norton on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Bombardiers haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Attleboro took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-6, 15-5.

Attleboro's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for King Philip Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

King Philip Regional might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Attleboro in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
