Volleyball Recap: IMG Academy White Comes Up Short

If IMG Academy White was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Celebration on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ascenders fell 3-1 to the Sunlake Seahawks on Tuesday.

IMG Academy White was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Sunlake work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 20-25, 26-24, 25-17.

IMG Academy White's offense was headlined by Ava Henderson and Aniyah Scott, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Ursula Paquin and her nine assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaitlyn Doyle, each putting up two.

IMG Academy White's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Sunlake, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-6.

IMG Academy White does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sunlake, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Mitchell on the 14th.
