Football Recap: Valley View Piles Up the Points Against Eaton

Valley View waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 48-10 victory over the Eaton Eagles. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Spartans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Eagles are ranked 419th).

Brody Gibbs produced another solid performance rushing for 135 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, while also throwing for 130 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Anthony Valenti was another key player, rushing for 62 yards and one score on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Valley View was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 357 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 196 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Valley View's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Eaton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
