Baseball Recap: Bethlehem Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Bethlehem nor Washington County made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Eagles/Banshees came up short against the Commanders, falling 10-0. The Eagles/Banshees have struggled against the Commanders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Bethlehem's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Washington County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethlehem will challenge Holy Cross at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Eagles/Banshees surely won't give up without a fight. As for Washington County, they will head out to face off against Taylor County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
