Meanwhile, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-61 heartbreaker at the hands of Columbia. The contest was a 24-24 toss-up at halftime, but the Spartans couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the defeat, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake saw an underclassman step up: sophomore John Klopfer dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Klopfer is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Oliver Suydam was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive matches.

Averill Park's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.
