Maryvale Prep typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Salome proved too difficult a challenge. They took their game with ease, bagging a 51-20 victory over the Maryvale Prep Matador. The Frogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 31 points or more this season.

Salome's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grecia Leon led the charge by going 8 of 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Leon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Brianna Thomas was another key player, going 8 for 13 to rack up 17 points and eight boards.

Salome is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 37.3% in those games and 28.4% outside of them. As for Maryvale Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-4.

Salome has already played their next game, a 47-19 win against San Pasqual Valley on the 8th. Maryvale Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
