After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Port Aransas, Woodsboro was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats as they made off with a 15-2 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Cole Thompson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
