League recap: Camden win leads to rise in state rank

Camden moved up to 97 from 136 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 3 Class B - East. The Blue Devils climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Homer 37-20.

Cazenovia extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Westhill, 48-6. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Lakers.

Oneida's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rory McCarthy threw for 25 yards and Kyle Peck had 25 yards receiving. On the ground Dylan Cafalone chipped in 82 yards.

Oneida's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McCarthy has thrown for 539 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Peck has 24 catches for 419 yards. Cafalone leads the league in rushing with 858 yards.

A big matchup in Section 3 Class B - East this week will be when Camden takes on Cazenovia. At the moment, Aaron Fiorini's team is in third, while Tom Niedl's team is in first.

The Lakers took down the Warriors 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
