Baseball Game Preview: Moniteau Warriors vs. St. John Fighting Herald

The Moniteau Warriors will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the St. John Fighting Herald at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. Moniteau will be strutting in after a victory while St. John will be coming in after a defeat.

While Moniteau's win against Keystone wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Moniteau won by a run and slipped past Keystone 4-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Carson Minnear looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.

On the hitting side, Dawson Cook was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Alex James was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, St. John fell victim to Revere and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 12-0 to the Minutemen.

Moniteau now has a winning record of 2-1. As for St. John, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.
