Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin dropped down to 6-3 on Friday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oakwood Comets. The Blue Devils were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three matchups prior), but the Comets' defense proved too tough.

As for Oakwood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.2 points.

Kyler Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin and Oakwood are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Blue Devils will venture away from home to square off against Pana at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. As for Oakwood, they will host Carrollton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
