Baseball Recap: Stewarts Creek Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Stewarts Creek lost to Dickson County back in April of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Stewarts Creek Red Hawks walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Dickson County Cougars.

Preston Stewart looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Ayden Jackson and Coleman Neas did most of the damage at the plate: Jackson scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4, while Neas scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Jackson has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shawn Rhodes, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Stewarts Creek's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 4.5 runs. As for Dickson County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Stewarts Creek will challenge Coffee County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Coffee County Central will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. We've got a battle between Cougars coming up.
