Volleyball Recap: Cody Falls Short Against Ranked Kelly Walsh

Cody faced Kelly Walsh in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Broncs lost 3-0 to the Trojans. The Broncs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Cody was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Kelly Walsh work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 28-26.

Grace Hays paced Cody's offense, picking up 16 kills. Hays got some help from Maddie Beaudrie and her 31 assists. Ellie Talich controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cody fell to 13-1. As for Kelly Walsh, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Cody didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Glenrock on the 12th. As for Kelly Walsh, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Rock Springs on the 12th.
