Volleyball Recap: Gulf Shores Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gulf Shores can now relate to. They came up short against the Spain Park Jaguars on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Dolphins were not able to make up for their loss to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Spain Park found their leader in freshman Camdyn Kyes, who had 14 digs and two assists. Kyes is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Gulf Shores has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 30-11 record this season. As for Spain Park, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 35-7.

Gulf Shores does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Spain Park, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Rehobeth on the 23rd.
