Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Range vs. Berthoud

The Mountain Range Mustangs will head out to challenge the Berthoud Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Range is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Mountain Range is headed into Friday's match hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They lost 5-2 to Riverdale Ridge on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Mountain Range were already down 3-0.

Malorie Gallardo and Jasmine Foltz scored both of Mountain Range's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, Berthoud kept a clean sheet against Wellington on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Eagles 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Berthoud were the better team in the second half.

The win made it two in a row for Berthoud and bumps their season record up to 4-4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Mountain Range, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
