Softball Recap: West Craven Comes Up Short at Home Against Pamlico County

West Craven unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 11-7 to the Pamlico County Hurricanes on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Hurricanes recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Morgan Jarman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa McCoy, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The win got Pamlico County back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, West Craven will welcome Swansboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pamlico County, they will face off against Bear Grass Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
