Softball Recap: Boylan Catholic Wins Going Away Against Rochelle

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against River Ridge/Scales Mound, Boylan Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Rochelle Hubs. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ari Ousley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, Lily Burke was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Dez Moore, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Boylan Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Rochelle, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Boylan Catholic will venture away from home to take on Belvidere at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rochelle, they will welcome Sycamore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
