Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), Greensboro Day (Greensboro, N.C.), Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, Calif.) and Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, N.Y.) each took losses in postseason play last week, opening the door for plenty of movement within the MaxPreps Top 25 high school basketball rankings.

No. 4 Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), No. 14 Garfield (Seattle) and No. 17 Dr. Phillips (Orlando) each look to complete their quests for state titles as all three teams are eligible to participate in the inaugural State Champions Invitational to be held April 7-9.

No. 18 Carmel Christian (Matthews, N.C.) is the only newcomer in this week's MaxPreps Top 25, as the Cougars knocked off previous No. 12 Greensboro Day (Greensboro) 71-66 in the NCISAA Class 4A state game to replace the Bengals.

Note: Prior to the 2021-22 season, MaxPreps adopted a split approach to the rankings. The MaxPreps Top 25 is a measure of public and private schools belonging to recognized governing bodies that compete for state championships. The National Top 20 encompasses a broad spectrum of sub-collegiate programs that in most cases are not full members of state-level governing bodies and do not compete for state championships.
