Basketball Recap: King's Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

King's Academy needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Gavin Ruberg. King's Academy blew past Varsity Opponent, posting a 69-42 win thanks in part to Ruberg, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (three).

King's Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

King's Academy will take on Fort Wayne HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Fort Wayne HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully King's Academy likes a good challenge. Varsity Opponent has already played their next match (against Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
