Volleyball Recap: Goose Creek Comes Up Short

Goose Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Wando Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-7.

Lea Van Vliet had a dynamite game For Wando., getting 12 digs and eight aces. Those eight aces gave Van Vliet a new career-high. McKayla St. Clair also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Goose Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Wando, they pushed their record up to 25-8 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Goose Creek has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Stratford on the 14th. As for Wando, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Porter-Gaud on the 10th.
