Recap: Lockney Longhorns vs. Olton Mustangs
The Lockney Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 63-37 loss at the hands of Olton. Lockney has not had much luck with Olton recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Lockney lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dahlen Silva, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Haygen Lefevre, who scored eight points.
Lockney has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Olton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-10.
Lockney will head out on the road to take on Hale Center at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Hale Center's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Lockney has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. Olton will take on Floydada at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Floydada has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 698 points over their last nine contests.
