Basketball Recap: Riverton Comes Up Short

Riverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Carlinville Cavaliers, falling 57-21. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.

Jordyn Durham was Riverton's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Durham also led the team in rebounds with six.

Riverton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Carlinville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Riverton has already played their next contest, a 54-29 loss against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central on the 16th. As for Carlinville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-29 win against Litchfield on the 16th.
