Soccer Game Preview: McQuaid Jesuit vs. Fairport

McQuaid Jesuit is 0-4 against Fairport since November of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Red Raiders at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

McQuaid Jesuit will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals two weeks ago, then bounced right back against World of Inquiry on Thursday. The Knights blew past the Griffins 5-1. McQuaid Jesuit haven't had any issues with World of Inquiry recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Fairport sidestepped Rush-Henrietta for a 2-1 win. Given Fairport's advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Rush-Henrietta are ranked 216th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trevor Scoopa and Alexander Grejda scored both of Fairport's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

The victory got McQuaid Jesuit back to even at 6-6-2. As for Fairport, their win bumped their record up to 15-0.
