Football Game Preview: Ascension Christian vs. Ascension Catholic Bulldogs

Ascension Christian hasn't had much luck against Ascension Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Ascension Christian will take on Ascension Catholic at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Ascension Christian is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Houma Christian: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Ascension Christian blew Houma Christian out of the water with a 40-0 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Ascension Christian had established a 21-point advantage.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ascension Catholic). They walked away with a 49-40 victory over Episcopal on Friday.

Ascension Catholic now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ascension Christian, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-2.
