Baseball Recap: McDowell Titans vs. Patton Panthers

McDowell won the last time they faced Patton, and things went their way on Wednesday too. The McDowell Titans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patton Panthers and snuck past 7-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for McDowell.

Kyson Rinnert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, McDowell got a big performance out of Danny Brown, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Isaac Gilliland, who went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI.

On Patton's side, they saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Attaway, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

McDowell's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-15. As for Patton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

McDowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Patton, they will head out on the road to face off against Brevard at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brevard will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Patton surely won't give up without a fight.
