Volleyball Recap: Collegiate Gets the Win

Collegiate proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Tara Trojans. Collegiate hasn't had any issues with Tara recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Collegiate was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 15-25, 13-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Tara, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Collegiate will be playing in front of their home fans against Abramson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tara, they will venture away from home to face off against Northeast at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
