Erie and Niwot are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Erie's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Niwot has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Last Thursday, Erie strolled past Centaurus with points to spare, taking the game 58-43. The match marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Niwot was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 50-46 to Frederick. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 82nd).

Erie's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Niwot, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.
