Soccer Recap: Panther Creek Takes a Loss

Panther Creek entered their matchup against Farmersville on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panther Creek Panthers fell just short of the Farmersville Farmers by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Farmers are ranked 450th).

Panther Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Farmersville, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Panther Creek is taking a road trip to take on Gainesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gainesville knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Panther Creek likes a good challenge. As for Farmersville, they will welcome Aubrey at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
