Basketball Recap: Jesus Sanchez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Forestburg over Victory Christian Academy

After flying high against Tournament Opponent last Saturday, Forestburg came back down to earth. The Forestburg Longhorns fell just short of the Victory Christian Academy Patriots by a score of 43-40 on Tuesday. The Longhorns have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jesus Sanchez, who posted 16 points. The game was Sanchez's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kyler Willett, who earned 11 points.

Forestburg's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Victory Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Forestburg will welcome Community Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Victory Christian Academy will take on Gold-Burg in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
