Pittsfield came out on top against Rushville-Industry on Monday thanks in part to Emma Wombles's efforts. Nobody could stop Wombles as she struck out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
