Softball Game Preview: Mahwah Thunderbirds vs. Ramsey Rams

Mahwah hasn't had much luck against Ramsey recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Thunderbirds will take on the Rams at 4:15 p.m.

Mahwah came up short against Pascack Valley on Wednesday, falling 10-3. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Ramsey entered their tilt with Lakeland Regional on Wednesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lancers an 11-0 shutout. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by ten runs or more this season.

Ramsey's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Mahwah, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Mahwah might still be hurting after the 13-0 defeat they got from Ramsey in their previous matchup on April 4th. Can the Thunderbirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
