Soccer Game Preview: Mercedes vs. Pace

Mercedes hasn't had much luck against Pace recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. Mercedes has given up an average of 5.9 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mercedes fell victim to Lopez and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Lobos.

Meanwhile, Pace also failed to score in their most recent game. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rivera on Friday. While losing is never fun, Pace can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 688th, while Rivera are ranked 190th).

Pace's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mercedes, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14-1.

Mercedes couldn't quite get it done against Pace in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
