Volleyball Recap: Vasquez Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Vasquez can now relate to. They came up short against the Brea Olinda Wildcats on Friday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since April 15, 2024.

While Vasquez was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-20.

Vasquez's loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-6. As for Brea Olinda, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Vasquez does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brea Olinda, they will venture away from home to face off against Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
