Football Game Preview: West Carroll Thunder vs. South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville Ponies

The West Carroll Thunder will take on the South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville Ponies on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with West Carroll sitting on four straight victories and South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville on ten.

West Carroll is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Biggsville West Central, posting a 42-8 win. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 34 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville faced Galva in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Ponies blew past the Wildcats 52-6. The game marked the Ponies' most dominant victory of the season.

West Carroll better keep an eye on George Bailey. He was instrumental in South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville's win, rushing for 236 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Bailey is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Ian Dial helped out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards and a rushing touchdown.
