Basketball Recap: Love Elliott's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Liberty County over Long County

Liberty County was the 53-40 winner over Long County when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Liberty County Panthers took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Long County Blue Tide on Friday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Liberty County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Love Elliott, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and three steals. What's more, Elliott also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zamarria Green, who put up six points and five rebounds.

Liberty County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Long County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.

Liberty County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Long County, they have already played their next contest, a 54-21 win against Southeast Bulloch on the 8th.
