Three Rivers recap October 8, 2013

Lima Senior scaled the state rankings by moving to 171 from 207 this week, the biggest jump in Three Rivers. The Spartans were able to move up by defeating Findlay 59-40.

Central Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating St. Francis de Sales, 41-9. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.

Lima Senior's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Spartans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Justice Graham has thrown for 1,659 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Ruben Flowers has 38 catches for 444 yards.

Lima Senior's Juniel Liles needs only 85 yards against St. John's Jesuit next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 136 carries Liles has accumulated 915 yard this year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Whitmer takes on the Knights. The Panthers are in third place, while St. Francis de Sales is in second place.

The Titans were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fifth in Three Rivers. St. John's Jesuit vanquished Clay 37-28 earlier in the week.
