Preview: St. Joseph Academy Flashes vs. Crescent City Raiders
St. Joseph Academy has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Crescent City Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Saturday, St. Joseph Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Merritt Island Christian, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory.
In what's become a running theme this season, Crescent City gave their fans yet another huge win last Friday. They put the hurt on Warner Christian Academy with a sharp 50-29 win. The victory was just what Crescent City needed coming off of a 46-16 loss in their prior matchup.
Crescent City can attribute much of their success to Kirabella Williams, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zanarea Shelton, who scored 11 points.
St. Joseph Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Crescent City, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Everything came up roses for St. Joseph Academy against Crescent City when the teams last played back in January of 2015 as the squad secured a 48-16 victory. Will St. Joseph Academy repeat their success, or does Crescent City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
