Softball Game Recap: Platt Panthers vs. Lewis Mills Spartans

Platt had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 1-6 to make it four. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-9 to the Lewis Mills Spartans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-9 on Thursday.

Skyler Wisniewski was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Adrienne McDonald, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

As for Lewis Mills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games.

On Lewis Mills' side, the team relied heavily on Calleigh Lok, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Michaela Larose, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Platt has already played their next game, a 22-0 defeat against RHAM on the 25th. As for Lewis Mills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-6 win against East Catholic on the 25th.
