Basketball Recap: Grossmont Takes a Loss

Grossmont played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the West Hills Wolf Pack, falling 83-50. The Foothillers have struggled against the Wolf Pack recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

West Hills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malekai Dillon, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 21 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Ethan Shaw, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine assists.

Grossmont's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for West Hills, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grossmont will take on Santana at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grossmont is facing Santana at the right time seeing as Santana is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for West Hills, they will square off against Valhalla at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Valhalla's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests.
