Softball Recap: Foothill Sets Scoring Season-High Against Mojave

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Foothill). They never let the Mojave Rattlers get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Rattlers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Isabella Higuera made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Camren VanThomme, who fired off three runs, three doubles, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Jazzy Hall was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

Foothill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive games.

Foothill's record now sits at 5-8-1. As for Mojave, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Foothill will face off against Chaparral at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mojave, they will welcome Southeast Career Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rattlers will need to watch out since the Roadrunners have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
