Chaparral had lost five straight headed into Saturday's contest, but Logan Thomsen didn't let it get to six. Chaparral came out on top against the Severance Silver Knights by a score of 2-0 on Saturday with plenty of help from Thomsen, who had 11 digs and one assist. Those 11 digs gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Severance still got an impressive performance from Zeke Wawrzyniak, who had 12 digs and two assists.

Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Severance, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Chaparral wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against George Washington on the 15th. As for Severance, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Windsor Charter Academy on the 18th.
