Softball Game Preview: Oldham County Colonels vs. Henry County Wildcats

Oldham County is on an 11-game streak of home wins, while Henry County is on an eight-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Colonels will host the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Oldham County will be strutting in after a victory while Henry County will be coming in after a defeat.

Oldham County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kentucky's top teams: Allen County-Scottsville, who was ranked 15th at the time (Oldham County was ranked ninth). The Colonels blew past the Patriots 13-2 on Saturday. The Colonels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Henry County unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Ballard by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Henry County's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Oldham County, their win bumped their record up to 23-5.
