Baseball Game Preview: Penn-Trafford Warriors vs. Riverdale Ridge Ravens

The Penn-Trafford Warriors will take on the Riverdale Ridge Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Penn-Trafford came up short against Brighton and fell 13-8.

Logan Matrisch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Septak, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Riverdale Ridge earned a 9-5 win over Shady Side Academy on Tuesday.

Tyler Swan and Jayce Sanchez did most of the damage at the plate: Swan scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances, while Sanchez scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Sanchez also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Landon Brophy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Penn-Trafford's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Riverdale Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
