Basketball Recap: Chambers Academy Comes Up Short

Chambers Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Springwood Wildcats, falling 55-22. The matchup marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for Shalexia Little, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 boards for Springwood. That makes it four consecutive games in which Little has scored at least a third of Springwood's points. Tori Patillo was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Chambers Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Springwood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Macon-East Montgomery Academy the next time they take the court. Springwood will head out to face Macon-East Montgomery Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Chambers Academy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th.
