Baseball Recap: Meade County Comes Up Short

Meade County fell victim to Breckinridge County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fighting Tigers. The match marked the first time this season in which the Green Waves were not able to get on the board.

Meade County's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 16-8. As for Breckinridge County, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

While Meade County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
