Basketball Recap: Lake Weir Hurricanes vs. Santa Fe Raiders
Lake Weir kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 47-32 bruising from the Santa Fe Raiders.
Alcarlos Richard and Amar Young certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Richard scored six points plus seven rebounds, while Young scored six points plus six steals and two blocks.
Even though they lost, Lake Weir smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches dating back to last season.
