Highland won against Higley last Tuesday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Highland Hawks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers 65-38. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Highland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ty Crandall out in front who went 7 for 9 on his way to 17 points. Crandall is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Johnson, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Tucson High Magnet School lost, don't look at Xavier Grajeda. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points. Nitai Buchler also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Highland's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

Highland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-59 win against Queen Creek on the 17th.
