Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Geiliany Del Valle and Luna Dela Cruz Lead Foundation Academy to Victory

Foundation Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Mount Dora Hurricanes as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Foundation Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 25-20.

Foundation Academy was led to victory by Luna Dela Cruz and Geiliany Del Valle. Dela Cruz had 13 digs and one assist, while Del Valle hit 55.6% for five kills and seven digs and one block. Del Valle is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 22 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Foundation Academy's record now sits at 18-3. As for Mount Dora, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

Coming up, Foundation Academy will head out on the road to face off against The Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Dora, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against The Villages Charter at 6:00 p.m.
