Foundation Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Mount Dora Hurricanes as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Foundation Academy was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-18, 25-20.

Foundation Academy was led to victory by Luna Dela Cruz and Geiliany Del Valle. Dela Cruz had 13 digs and one assist, while Del Valle hit 55.6% for five kills and seven digs and one block. The last time Del Valle's hitting percentage was this high was over her last nine matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Mount Dora lost, don't look at Skye Douglass. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and two aces. Douglass is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Foundation Academy's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Mount Dora, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

Foundation Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against The Rock on the 3rd. As for Mount Dora, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against The Villages Charter on the 7th.
