Thompson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Hoover Buccaneers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Thompson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-20.

Maddy Henderson paced Thompson's offense, picking up 16 kills. Henderson got some help from Jayla Green and her 21 assists. Kenzly Foote controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
