Southside Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hope Christian Academy Lions a 15-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for Southside Christian, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Emma Wallace was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Wallace was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Southside Christian got a massive performance out of Ali Cowan, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Alana Spires, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Southside Christian will look to defend their home field on Monday against Open Bible Christian at 4:00 p.m. As for Hope Christian Academy, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play First Coast Christian at 4:00 p.m.
