Franklin has gone 8-2 against Murphy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Franklin is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Franklin challenged West Stokes on Saturday. The Panthers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-2.

Meanwhile, Murphy got themselves on the board against Hayesville last Wednesday, but Hayesville never followed suit. They blew past the Yellowjackets 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Murphy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Franklin came out on top in a nail-biter against Murphy when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
